People-watching and live music are just two off-the-menu items worth mentioning at the Wild Flower Restaurant. This Central West End eatery has a large sidewalk patio that makes a great place to lounge and people-watch during Sunday brunch (10:30AM-2PM). Live music can be heard every Thursday night, and during Sunday brunch a cello and keyboard duo are sure to relax you. The atmosphere may be casual and funky, but the American cuisine is gourmet. The ''wild thing'' pizza comes topped with fresh spinach, sauteed wild mushrooms and Brie cheese with oregano-infused oil. Pastas include savory combinations like the sauteed chicken and portabella with penne, red onion and tomato in a Gorgonzola cream sauce. The bar features 14 different martinis, including the Bombay Sapphire and the Green Demon. The bar features a multitude of martinis, margaritas, sangrias and curious specialty drinks like the Wild Flower Tea, Tainted Tulip and Tailgate Party Punch. -- Hillary Wicai

Refreshing and sweet
By mrngra01 on 12/06/2007
I lived in St. Louis when this restaurant opened many years ago. I currently live in LA, and I have to say that I would love to see something so sweet hit the streets of LA. The selection of food, the wine menu and the service always provide me far above any expectations I would have. I always look forward to seeing Tracy and her staff do what they do best, and that is providing an excellent atmosphere and great service. Don Phillips Long Beach, Ca.

We took my mom there for Mother's Day. The food was nice but different. It was something new to try. Enjoyed ourselves and will come back.

Wild Flower=terrible
By loralei13 on 04/22/2007
We took my daughter and her finance to Wild Flower for brunch to celebrate their recent engagement. If this is what St. Louis rates as the #1 place to have brunch, it saddens and dismays me! I had called to make a reservation ahead of time requesting seating outside. When we arrived, our reservation had not been recorded correctly. We were told we would have to wait about 10 minutes which was fine. Thirty minutes later we were finally seated after helping the hostess move tables to accomodate us while another table sat empty waiting for that reservation to show up. They were running very late. The service was horrible. It took thirty more minutes to order our food. The food tasted fine, but it was nothing to brag about. I would not recommend this restaurant. We will never return.
