Located along the endless drag of strip malls and parking lots on Olive Boulevard in Creve Coeur, Bristol Bar & Grill is the sole local outpost of a national chain. It specializes in seafood, featuring a broad selection flown in from the coasts, from scallops to tilapia (though if you want a distinctly non-coastal crisp-fried Ozark catfish, they certainly have that, as well). The atmosphere is rather august for a mid-level chain; there is a lot of dark wood and smoked glass, with plenty of booths and crannies. Bristol is a popular Sunday brunch spot (10AM-2PM), so be sure to make reservations and be prepared to wait in line at the buffet. Happy hour is also taken seriously here, befitting the large number of office buildings nearby. Bristol often has happy-hour specials, such as lobsters sold "at cost." -- HW

Favorite restaurant!!!!!
By stlouilaura on 06/20/2007
Bristol has been my favorite restaurant for years!! The Ahi tuna is my favorite and the lobster bisque is to die for. The new menu items and revamped wine list will keep me coming back again and again. Although the restaurant is often packed, I've dined at Bristol for lunch and dinner and have always had great service. Bristol truly has the recipe for success!!!

Is this really St Louis' best?
By jimhlenz on 02/20/2007
Bristol is OK, nothing more, nothing less. A very predictable menu that could go much further to highlight it's seafood. Frankly for the money and atmosphere why wouldn't you just go get the real thing at Blue Water Grill.

Brunch Buffet Extraordanaire
By danonwis on 01/01/2007
I am allergic to sea food, but the brunch buffet is great, even for a non sea food eater. I can even overlook the lack of bacon. The omlet and waffle bar are fun and lots of choices and the pastries are amazing in selection and quality. Thier sister resturant in Chicago and Milwaukee is outstanding as well (no Brunch :( ).
