Nestled in Tippary Hill, just a block from the worlds one-and-only upside-down traffic light, is Colemans Authentic Irish Pub & Restaurant. Ponder the Syracuse curiosity for a while, then come inside for a Guinness and a plate of corned beef and cabbage. Colemans is known throughout the neighborhood for its friendly service and relaxed atmosphere. On the weekends, you can hear live local bands for no cover charge. Once youve had youre fill at Colemans, head back out to the traffic light -- after a few drinks, it just might start making a little more sense.

A few years ago we had a visitor from Ireland brought her to Coleman's and we were appauled at our service. The entire staff were rude an unfriendly. The food was poor and we never returned

here's the real truth
By sgiordano25 on 07/24/2007
the food is below average at best, witha rather limited selection. the service is terrible, even if you're a regular (as i once was) the tap lines are filthy (so you pay in more ways than one, if you know what i mean) liquor and beer selection somewhat limited, and overpriced. the place gets by on name only. don't be fooled, head somewhere else.

Great place,Great Food, but
By luckylotterydude on 05/17/2007
I love the atmosphere, the music, the food. But count your change when the bartenders give it back to you. That is "if" they give it back to you. They fawn stupidity when you point out the change is wrong. I've had this happen a couple times too many. Mr. Coleman has no Idea I'm guessing. Too bad too. I like the place otherwise.

From The Tipp Hill Saints

Explore the wonder of Ireland and an atmosphere most local pubs and bars are missing here on the Hill known as Tipperary. A great crowd and a staff to accomidate all our needs and lots of Green Beer to keep you warm here in cold Syracuse. Established in 1933,(not 1979), it has become as true a landmark as the Green on Top Light! I am a faithful customer and recommend this Irish Pub to anyone Irish or not.
