I LOVE CZAR. Pulp the Party (now on Wednesday Nights!) is the ultimate in underground, indie music to dance to. Awesome crowds too!

LOL! I LOVE CZAR! And I love it even more when tool-bags like you don't get it, fit in or feel appreciated! Czar has managed to do something pretty amazing in nightclub world - they've held on to that feeling of exclusivity despite throwing parties that exceed 1500 people. This is NOT a cheesy Hyde Park club. They do not cater to every Tom, Dick and Douche in a pair of $40 jeans and Ed Hardy shirt. you cannot buy your way in. They promote to and cater to the underground scene of Tampa - the artists, designers, musicians & scene-sters of this town. Take a real look around the next time you're there, and then take a hard look at yourself. The only people that are NOT made welcome, accepted and catered to are the mainstream lemmings that don't realize that they're idiots. I for one am thrilled to hang where the staff doesn't encourage the return of every loud moron who thinks because they can afford hair plugs or other physical augmentations that the world should stop for them. Besides... they must be doing something right. they just celebrated their 5th anniversary (BTW epic party guys!!) and they're busier today then they have ever been!!

Its surprising to see how long this nightclub has lasted under such terrible management. I've been to czar many times, thier lack of respect to thier patrons is legendary. I always wonder how anyone got a job there. Must be some weird circle of inept bartenders and security that they staff the place with. Otherwise the nightclub is really nice. And once every couple months they have a special night there where its almost worth going to.

i cant believe anyone would go here. the blonde bartender was wasted and only seemed interested in talking at the end of the bar. please people avoid this excusse of a club and go to the Castle or the Orpheum.
