New York New York Pizza Bar and Grill   

Fitting in nicely on noisy, in-your-face Seventh Avenue, the versatile Ybor City pizza hangout NY NY Pizza Bar and Grill brings a brash sense of gangster humor to Manhattan Eye-talian grub. The slogan ''Forgettaboutit'' commands diners, and posters of the 'Sopranos', 'The Godfather' and Al Capone paper the 1950s-style decorated joint (formerly Cherry's). Clean and warmly lit, the pizza restaurant features red-and-white vinyl booths, black-and-white checkered floor, a modernly-lit art deco bar and flat screen TV. Pies at NY NY exceed the ordinary, with hand-tossed dough and brick-oven taste, available in two styles: regular or gourmet style on regular, thin or thick crust. Toppings include the standard ones, plus ricotta, red roasted peppers, sun-dried tomatoes, eggplant, clams, pineapple and shrimp (but not all at once, please!).
