To the locals, Bayshore is known for two things: fitness fanatics and Pach's Place, a family-owned breakfast and lunch hotspot catering to nearby office workers and Hyde Park residents hankering for good grub. Hungry joggers, walkers and in-line skaters come here looking to refuel after a workout along the Boulevard. Pach's (pronounced 'patch'ss') features classic breakfast items -- regulars swear by the omelets and pancakes. And other breakfast-all-day options (served till 2PM) include pancakes, bagels and French toast. Grab a sandwich, salad or burger for lunch or enjoy a more inspired daily special like meatloaf, fajitas or yellow rice with chicken. Despite its office-building location, Pach's is surprisingly casual, with a sparsely decorated yet amply furnished dining room. The vibe is a long way from nearby Soho's hipper-than-thou hotspots, but if you're looking for a filling feed at the right price, you can't go wrong here. Table service is quick and friendly and sure to keep you coming back for more.

Great place with great food at reasonable prices!
By KEN33601 on 07/06/2008
Pach's (pronounced Patches) Place is home to tasty fare. Even the coffee is good and there are hundreds of customers who agree, and hope the family doesn't change anything. Weekend Brunch specials are exotic but not too pricey and Mayors, College Presidents, Council members, Commissioners, and Generals can be seen here, as well as some of the biggest on air talent in Tampa Bay. Jack Harris raves about the place on 970 WFLA, everyone else just tells their friends.

Change your coffee, PLEASE!
By Emarcmail on 06/18/2008
The breakfast at Pach's is not too bad, they cater to a regular old crowd who have been around since Noah built the Ark and their accustomed to really BAD totally taste-less coffee, really horrible, probably the very worst coffee in the whole of Tampa. However, even with the complaints about the gross-coffee they still pull a decent crowd, obviously their doing something right. BUT, if they were to CHANGE their coffee and match the food with a bean that has a taste of 20th century palates, they would have to turn people away for lack of room. Pach's please, I beg of you, CHANGE your coffee, Seattle is served at Steak&Shake but who wants their food? Get it? Clearly, up the ante and bring balance to the palate with coffee that actually taste like coffee.
