For a place that encourages patrons to toss peanut shells on the floor, this old-West-style meetinghouse sure fires up a good steak. Although the atmosphere at Cody's Original Roadhouse is conducive to a torch 'n' twang type of lifestyle, don't let that discourage you from sampling the hearty, tasty fare. Prices aren't quite as beefy as some of the more upscale places, so you can bring out the whole family. Try a juicy 24-ounce porterhouse that includes a bottomless salad, fresh baked bread and your choice of starch. Not in the mood for steak? Take a stab at the rotisserie chicken or the blackened Florida grouper with pico de gallo. The steak fajita salad will put a little sizzle into your meal, while the little ones can take their choice of six kids' menu items, and on Monday and Tuesday nights tykes can eat for free from this menu. Top off your hearty meal with the peanut butter pie and you're guaranteed to go home with a full belly but not an empty wallet. -- Faiyaz Kara

We go to Cody's fairly often. Mostly on Tuesday since we have 3 kids and they eat free on Tuesdays. Love the steaks, the prime rib is fantastic. I have never had bad service at Cody's but the wait is sometimes very long, esp. if you have a large family and need a large table, but with the buckets of peanuts and the 2 for 1 drink specials the wait isn't so bad. When family from out of town come we always go to Cody's at least once. The sweet potatoes with cinnamon butter are out of this world good. The salad dressing makes the salad and the rolls we always ask for more and more the kids and adults love them. For the money the food is great we feed the whole family (3 kids and 2 adults) with an appitizer, drinks, adult drinks, dinner, and the brownie desert that we share for around $100 or less including the tip. The thing that drives up the bill is our adult drinks. It isn't soda or tea thats for sure. Try Cody's you won't be dissapointed.
