Located less than a mile from the airport, this little club on Westshore is known by locals as one of the best spots in Tampa to listen to local jazz bands (with Dwight Champagne Trio being one of the favorites). The music usually begins around 9PM and continues until the early morning. The crowd generally consists of the more mature clubbies in the 30- to 50-something age bracket. Fox quite often serves several purposes. It can either be a great place to take your date after a long evening or a spot to come with your pals and pick up on other jazz enthusiasts. While the dress is casual, you may want to uptown it a little since everyone else will be dressed likewise. Although the club is small, there is a large enough dance floor near the stage to accommodate those who want to shake off the evening's calories. -- Amie Leavitt
