To the locals, Bayshore is known for two things: fitness fanatics and Pach's Place, a family-owned breakfast and lunch hotspot catering to nearby office workers and Hyde Park residents hankering for good grub. Hungry joggers, walkers and in-line skaters come here looking to refuel after a workout along the Boulevard. Pach's (pronounced 'patch'ss') features classic breakfast items -- regulars swear by the omelets and pancakes. And other breakfast-all-day options (served till 2PM) include pancakes, bagels and French toast. Grab a sandwich, salad or burger for lunch or enjoy a more inspired daily special like meatloaf, fajitas or yellow rice with chicken. Despite its office-building location, Pach's is surprisingly casual, with a sparsely decorated yet amply furnished dining room. The vibe is a long way from nearby Soho's hipper-than-thou hotspots, but if you're looking for a filling feed at the right price, you can't go wrong here.
