Where else can you enjoy fine dining in a casual atmosphere, excellent beer, weekly drink specials and live blues? Mr. Mogger's Brewery and Pub features dinner specials, daily drink specials, six different drafts (not to mention 100 different kinds of beer) -- all in a building built in 1837! Originally part of T.H.'s Brewing Company, Mr. Mogger's offers a taste of local history along with your food. The brick warehouse building uses the original lattice from the old front porch in its balcony section, not to mention the ornate and original bar. Enjoy fried mushrooms, several entrees and the Mogger Salad (greens with French dressing, blue cheese, egg and bacon) daily. Choose from varied dinner specials usually (but not always) served on weekends. Attracting a mostly business clientele on weekdays, and primarily college students Monday and Tuesday nights, the restaurant and bar has live blues 8pm to 11pm on Wednesdays and Thursdays and daily drink specials to tempt everyone to go out and socialize: Margarita Mondays; Long Island Iced Tea Tuesdays; $1.50 Bud, Bud Light, Miller Light and Coors Light Wednesdays; and $2 well drinks on Thursdays. Guinness, Harp, Bass, Goose Island and Killian's Red are also available on tap, making Mr. Mogger's a fine place to drink, eat and be merry. -- Minda Cowen
