Archie's has been around since 1953, and on any given evening youll find this small bar packed with regulars. Some have sat in the same spot for years. They'll probably serve you a cold one here, but order at your own risk -- they dont always take kindly to strangers. The bar serves beer and liquor, and sandwiches and other snacks are available from the kitchen. Every weekend country bands entertain the crowd; during the week you can watch sports (there are TVs in every corner) or sing your heart out on karaoke nights. -- Carolyn Turgeon

Archies....on Hwy 63
Hey..it's a BAR..what do you expect in a small bar..locals..duh...beer in cans....people who know each other and DO talk to strangers...but don't expect to be part of the local crowd in ten words or less...had a great time and stayed till closing..then went to the Ballyhoo where you will always be a stranger because it's all about the $$$$
My responce to the negative pe
This bar as others is a place for locals. Would be nice to have a good air purifier. The city should have grants for small places to add equipment. This city gave all their business money to new hotels down town ,that won't make it. A business shoud have a sign on the door,SMOKING or NO SMOKING. Then let the customer deside on weather to go in or stay out. Local goverment who wants to stick their nose in the peoples business who has the money invested thinks there should be changes, should pay for them.

How does this nasty little smelly bar keep getting on the top ten list for Terre Haute? Don't say much for Terre Haute now does it? This place should be shut down. Don't you dare go in if your an African American, they will ask you to leave................
