Hundreds of hot bods can fit into this place, which houses the largest dance floor space in all of Toledo. Once home to a movie theater, Club Bijou is a New York-style dance club offering two levels of dancing. On the top level, DJs spin Top 40, mainstream dance music. Down in "The Underground," youll hear European-style electronic dance music. Elsewhere youll spot large, hanging movie reels, classic movie posters, stadium-style movie theater seating and old-fashioned lampposts. This lends the club a slightly more retro feel in the midst of contemporary things like the state-of-the-art sound system, strobe lights, fog machines and sound-sensitive lighting systems. You can get up and dance on a raised stage, or you may find your dancing self projected on one of three huge screens surrounding the dance floor. Be sure to check out the clubs "Ralley in the Alley," a long, spacious, brick-lined back alley where a portable bar is set up for those needing to cool down and get some fresh air. Theme parties are held here every month and a half, where patrons, staff and the club itself are decked to the nines (themes have included toga, Mardi Gras, spring break, beach bash and disco party). Thursday is College ID Night, where students get in free before 11pm with their ID cards; Friday is ladies night.
