Food is really good, but service is slow. Great place to eat. Just don't get in a hurry.

Very good food

DePalma's has its drawbacks, sure--for instance, the size of the room and height of the ceiling combine to ensure that the place will probably be too loud for you to be able to hear your dinner companion's conversation. But the food is great, and not just great-for-Tuscaloosa great. Their antipasto is as tasty as any I've had in New York or Rome (especially their roasted artichokes!). Their pastas are all fresh and creative, and their pizza is easily the best in town (try one with fresh mushrooms, fresh spinach and onions--it's fantastic). DePalma's is closer to actual Italian food--and to good restaurant food--than any other place in Tuscaloosa.
