Welcome to Murray's Restaurant. Minneapolis' original restaurant for steak since 1946 & home of the award winning Silver Butterknife Steak dinner for two. Also known for mouth watering garlic toast, Hickory Smoked shrimp appetizer, and home baked pies. Well into its third generation of family ownership, Murray's stands out among local and out of town diners alike as a true Twin Cities landmark & continues to provide the best in food and service as it did 59 years ago.

Best Steak ever 3/8/07
By anthwms on 03/09/2007
Murray's Silver Butter Knife Steak didn't disappoint. The steak was cooked to perfection and melted in your mouth. The steak is designed for 2 but could easily be enough for four. The garlic toast is incredible especially with a good cocktail. The best part of all, however, may be the service. Marcia was our waitress and she was just terrific, very friendly and nice and always right there when you needed her. Can't miss for a special occasion.

Best Steak Anywhere!!!
By stocdoctor on 01/28/2007
For years I've traveled the world for work, and since I loved steaks why not compare the best steak houses and the steaks of the best hotels. My request at each was always the same. Tell the chef to fix me his absolute top steak and I would tell him honestly how his compared with the other top chefs/restaurants. Most always the chef would come out to see how he rated. Murrays is now and as long as I've known was the #1 Best Steak Restaurant in the world. I live in New Hampshire and make sure any chance I get to include a stopover in Minneapolis. For the shear pleasure brought by Murrays if nothing else.
