Rate and Write a Review When the CC Club first opened in Minneapolis things were a little different. First of all, it was called CC Tap. Secondly, and significantly, it was 1934 and Prohibition had just ended. The space was later renamed the CC Club in 1975 when Moe Emard took ownership. He guided the club into its glory days in the 1980s, when Soul Asylum and The Replacements rocked and hung out here. While those heady times have passed, this neighborhood bar is hardly past its prime. As a bonus, their food is worth a taste. The breakfast menu includes biscuits-and-gravy and Bloody Marys. Lunch brings grill fare like the hearty half-pound Black Angus burger basket. The CC Club may not look like much from the outside, but it's grungy, warm and comfortable, and the heart of this favored spot hasn't changed. You can still always count on good times and a loyal crowd. In fact, the distinctive white and brown building has earned its reputation as an area landmark.
