If you look up ''tavern'' in your dictionary you'll see a picture of Sandy's. Okay, that's a worn-out cliche, but Sandy's is made of the stuff that will never get old. Juke box. Beer signs. One pool table in the middle of the floor. Pinball. Burgers and fries in red plastic baskets lined with waxed paper! You'll feel like you've hung out here before if you've ever frequented a relaxed, sociable, neighborhood beer joint. There isn't an age group that can't feel comfortable at Sandy's -- whether years have turned your hair blue, or dye has, you'll fit in. The food is straight from the '50s and '60s, especially the half dozen or so juicy burger choices (cheese, olive, mushroom, etc., toppings) and the crinkle-cut fries. The burgers and other sandwiches are not huge, and most everything is a la carte. Prices are very reasonable, and one order of fries is enough for two people. An ample, deep-fried shrimp basket might get you thinking, and onion rings are on the menu, of course. Sandy's is small but never seems crowded, and kids are not an uncommon sight. Remember to bring cash, because, like the old days, there is no plastic card swiper here. -- John Sharpe

Small, dark, a bit run -down and smells of stale beer, in otherwords everything you'd ever want in a neighborhood beer and burger joint. Love the burgers. Th half order of fries is ample. Need a better selection of tap bears (Mostly Miller and Bud products). How about some local favorites like Summit, Schells, and Grain Belt!

This place it the best kept ssecret in Richfield, and it shouldnt be kept secret anymore!!!! There is another joint in Richfield that is just a poor imitation of Sandy's. The people here are awesome, you are never ignored like at the other place or made to feel unwelcome. SO, come one come all to the best burgers in the area!!!!!!!!!!
