Just a block off Hennepin Avenue or bustling Nicollet Mall in downtown Minneapolis, you'll find this edgy little city spot. The styling of the urban, upscale hotel grill house is sleek and contemporary. It is a spot meant to impress, and it does have an identity beyond the Radisson Hotel. Form and function meet here. Flames in the brick oven are both beautiful and functional, searing tender hunks of prime rib turning on a spit and roasting chicken. We like the smoky pork chops, roasted yam and the corn on the cob. Who can resist sweet corn kernals cooked over fire, infused with the essence of smoky coals and butter? Even better is the breakfast menu -- served every day, and then brought out late, late in the night on Friday and Saturday. There's a baked apple panakuchen that tastes like apple pie, buttermilk pancakes with blueberries, stuffed French toast and an omelet you design yourself. -- Sarah Tieck
