After a major renovation that tripled its performance space, it is clear that Triple Rock Social Club is not just any old dive where your shoes stick to the floor. With the addition of 3,000 square feet, some are calling what was once an intimate punk rock watering hole the new indie-rock mecca. The crowd comes from the University of Minnesota and beyond. This spot is one to watch -- it still has all the things loyalists come back for, like that old-fashioned jukebox, the pinball machine, punk rock music, and junk food with a vegan twist. As soon as you walk into this West Bank bar, you'll know that this is a place that was built by hard work and hard rock (but, don't expect black walls with spray paint). Crowd members connect, rock out, and nibble on barbecued tofu, while sipping surprisingly good beer. This is a punk rock palace with class and loyal customers. Now, with a space addition that triples the size and allows live music, expect more of the same great place. -- Sarah Tieck

They've got it all here! their motto, "teaching Punks to tip again" is right on target, the food is stellar, and the beer selection rivals any other bar I know. No matter if you are there for a show on the other side of the wall or in for some good eats, it's always a great place to meet up with friends and have a few pints. And let us not forget Weekend breakfasts served until 3pm. Khalua pancakes anyone?
