What started out in the 1940s as a little mom-and-pop operation in South Minneapolis has grown into a Metro-wide, family-operated organization with an unsurpassed reputation. The array of cakes, pastries, tortes and breads generated from Wuollet's kitchens is as impressive in quantity as it is in mouth-watering aroma and taste. There are folks who wouldn't consider ordering their cakes from anywhere else, whether it's a multi-tiered wedding creation or a simple sheet cake. More than two dozen fresh-baked breads are offered, including American, European, Challah (Jewish egg-twist) and seasonal varieties. The assortment of pastries will make any sweet-seeker ecstatic, and though these goodies cost more than the kind you drop into bags at the gas station, the quality is likewise superior. A nice selection of locally roasted international coffees is "the icing on the cake" for the casual (or determined) visitor stopping by for a tasty pick-me-up.
