The Nicollet Island Inn has stood witness to over a century of change on the shores of the Mississippi River. The Inn is consistently named the most romantic restaurant in the area and its river views have been voted some of the best in the city. An immediately recognizable Minneapolis landmark, the Inn offers world-class cuisine created by executive chef Adam Droski, whose innovative and constantly updated menu includes a variety of seafood, steaks and gourmet specialty dishes. Nic's bar, just off the main dining room, is a casual, olde-world tavern and the patio offers stunning views of the Minneapolis skyline. The Inn is a convenient, comfortable destination for breakfast or lunch meetings while the 5-course Champagne Sunday Brunch is the perfect weekend indulgence. Newly refurbished banquet rooms are perfect for weddings or corporate receptions of up to 150 guests. Traveling patrons (or those weary from an elegant meal) can luxuriate in one of the Inn's 24 guest rooms.

Must have been a bad weekend evening but I have never had such a disappointment in an eating experience in Minneapolis. High expectations, but a big disappointment, overall!

Great food, great time!

My husband and I recently treated out of town guests to dinner at the Nicollet Island Inn, and we had a great meal! I have tried and loved the Inn's Sunday brunch and I can't resist the burger on their bar menu, so when I wanted scenic and special spot to take our guests, I thought of the Inn's river view dining room and fantasic food. Both my guests and my husband and I were very impressed by the variety of the menu. After much deliberation, I tried the scallops appetizer, the lola rosa and shrimp salad, and the Minnesota duck. The mini desserts on the petits fours tray were a nice way to finish off a big meal. Everything was great! Our server was knowledgeable and friendly, even offering to take a group photo of us at our table! I would definitely recommend the Inn for a special meal and I am looking forward to my next dinner there.

Tired Old Shoe

What a wonderful location with an antiquated business model. The space has so much potential for a compotent businessperson--what don't they get here? Outdated and drab. Menu too complicated for its own good---extremely overated. Chef obviousely hasn't been cooking long. Sad and tired place. Do NOT recommend. Service satisfactory at best. Overpriced.
