Love it for what it is!

Murphy's is a dive bar - never claimed it wasn't. Yes - it's often hot, crowded, and hard to find a seat, but it's also an unparalleled EXPERIENCE. Don't go there when you're in a bad mood, because you will inevitably see only the imperfections. Don't go in there expecting your typical DC-area pretension, because Guinness and good music make everyone friends. But Murphy's is completely worth the effort if you want to get swept up in the fun that is an Irish-American heritage. Pat Carroll is the BEST Irish folk singer on the continent.  More Reviews

Went there for the first time to try the sushi and it was amazing. Have to try the Tumenia! Service was so great we end up staying the whole night for bottle service.  More Reviews

When I lived in Rockville area in the 70's and 80's, one of the classic lay-back bars was old Hank Dietles's. The price is right, the booths are cozy/funky, and the you just can beat the juke box. Whether having a friend out for a drink or having a little affair and you don't want ANYBODY to find you, well, Hank Dietle's is the place. Rock on..... Stefanie Southern California  More Reviews
