Subterranean pool-stick blues? Come down off the street into Dupont Circle's coolest pool hall/bar/lounge and find a gamers' paradise steps away from the workday grind. For sharks and marks, there are 30 attractive pool tables, plus a snooker table and several dartboards. For lounge lizards, there are all those comfy couches to settle into in between all the gaming areas. Buffalo Billiards also makes two separate rooms available for large, private parties. When the weather's nice, two outdoor patio bars bring the socializing into the open air. Beer selection is big on microbrew favorites, and beer prices run a buck less during happy hour. Food is fairly traditional, with burgers and salads, although buffalo burgers are notably featured. Pool prices range from $10-$20 per hour during prime time (after 8PM on Thursday, Friday and Saturday), depending on the number of people playing. There is frequently at least a 45-minute wait for a table during peak times. Pass the time with a board game or a smoke from the cigar menu.

Assaulted by bouncer
By ig00000029994104 on 05/19/2008
I only gave them 1's because there was no way to give lower ratings. My true rating is -5 overall. I, a 5'4 130 lb woman, was picked up and thrown to the ground by one of the big bouncers. I have encountered rude bouncers at this location about every time I've gone to Buffalo Billiards but tonight was the worst. Just a few hours ago, I was asking the bouncer to let me speak to his manager about not being let in. The bouncer refused my various requests and then began pushing me out from in front of the door. He then picked me up, threw me to the floor injuring my right knee. The Paramedics and Police came to assist me. Though I had to call the police myself because the manager refused. I will never ever return to Buffalo Billiards for fear of being injured again after such a simple request.

pool tables were playing very slow-cushions and rag. had to hit the ball harder than usual to get somewhat of the same response of your regular game. food was okay. TV setups were average.

After a hard's day work, it's a fine place to have fun, make new buddies. The food is excellent and the cold beer is tops. The service is fine and surprising fast.Great place to release stress.

Good place to meet groups/work happy hour

Miles of pool tables, decent happy hour prices and scads of young profs... but for crissakes could they get rid of the goofy cow print couch!
