GW students and area professionals flock to this Foggy Bottom neighborhood bar for its burgers and drink specials. Oddly, it's also a destination for opposing fans when their teams come to town to play the Colonials. The first floor of the building is the takeout/sandwich shop Lindy's Bon Apetit, which shares a menu and kitchen with Lindy's Red Lion. The two are home of monster concoctions like the Burl Ives, a double burger topped with a grilled hot dog, barbecue sauce and a pickle. The upper level, Lindy's Red Lion, is a typical bar and grill, with a patio and seating for about 75 people. More then a college bar, you will see groups of twentysomethings in business casual sharing pitchers. Not much of a pick-up scene here, it's strictly BYO date/friends, as it's pretty hard to get your mack on with hot dog/pickle breath. -- Brett Widness
