Tucked away in the heart of Georgetown, Smith Point offers a unique dining experience combining a comfortable, private setting with culinary excellence. Smith Point is named after a mile long stretch of sand at the west end of Nantucket, known for its surf fishing and spectacular sunsets. Chef Robert Chapin brings Nantucket-style cuisine home to Washington.

$25 Minimum!!!!

While the place itself is ok, beware that there is a $25 MINIMUM on all credit card purchases. Outrageous.

Had Fun, But Not Impressed
By yuengling25 on 05/04/2005
Plenty of room to breathe, decent service, and the drinks were reasonable. But I noticed that I was missing something upon entering: a popped collar and a prep-school education. The guys were stodgy, and the girls were pretentious and obnoxious. Like I said, not a bad place to get loaded, but my heart is still at the Angry Inch.

If you make it past the guy at the door with "The List," you are guarenteed a good time. This Prep All-Star establishment offers a great atmosphere and great service. The crowd is always dressed conservatively, with Lilly Pulitzer, Lacoste and Kakhis dominating. Fun times will be are sure to be had, but the basement set up of this place makes it often unbareably hot. Check it out and see for yourself!
