It's a class act on rebounding H Street. Even the website reeks of cool, with whirling olives leading viewers to an upbeat tease. The Lounge draws the hip and trend seeking, with two floors of sleek welcome. Downstairs is a cozy and intimate lounge, the kind of place for an impressive first date, or significant relationship moments. There's a menu of chic martinis, from Cosmos and Apples to a sassy new take on the Fruitini. The light fare munch menu pays nonsensical tribute to jazz greats. Try the Sarah Vaughn Shrimp Skewers slathered in chili relish, or Duke Ellington's petite and spicy crab cakes. C-note Caesar is cool, and Etta James' At Last bruschetta promises much in the way of tasteful noshing. Upstairs offers equally cool and sultry, with live entertainment, maybe Tom Newman and Friends, Stoney Ellis or the Marcus Mitchell Project. This is a great spot for private parties, too.

Very Nice Chill Spot

Julia the bartender is awesome. Great company, no drama. The owner is really down to earth and always make you feel at home. Really great place to just chill and have fun with friends. They have my vote!~

Poor Service, Fair Drinks, Plastic Glasses
By jillyls on 01/27/2009
This is not a good place. It is a low class bar, with inexperienced staff trying to be high class. We waited and waited for the waitress to finally help us, and then waited again for our terrible $10 martinis in plastic glasses. For $10 I want a good drink and a real glass. We had to walk up to the bar to ask for her to come back, and had to ask again for the bill. One person joined us late and was never offered service or a drink. Then, the staff proceeded to think we left them at $25 dollar tip... when we asked them to split the bill between cash and one credit card. Would never go back.
