Rate and Write a Review One of the more affordable and convenient inns, the Adams is just blocks from the National Zoo and the Woodley Park/Zoo Red Line station of the Metro, so although limited parking is available (for about $7 a night), you don't actually need to drive there. Plus, it is surrounded by fun shops and restaurants. The Inn's hosts, Gene and Nancy Thompson, have created a comfortable and personal atmosphere. Each room is unique in its home-style decor. A continental-plus breakfast is served in the cheery breakfast room. The Inn also has a parlor, TV lounge, patio, and garden and front porch perfect for sitting and watching the world go by. A coin-operated laundry, soda machines, and pay phones offer a blend of home and motel service, while the Thompsons provide an iron and ironing board, coffee/tea and donuts. Rooms are available from $55 a night for two people using a shared bathroom and $70 a night for two with a private bathroom. -- Judy Colbert
