Try the Sunday brunch here!
By hslincoln on 08/22/2007
I booked on Open Table for Sunday brunch at Beacon Bar and Grill on my latest visit to DC (July 1, 2007). It lived up to the billing with an omelet station and many other dishes to satisfy your breakfast cravings. A pianist provided background music. The setting was comfortable and relaxing but with a sense of richness. On the basis of that brunch, I asked to see a hotel room to consider staying there on my next visit to DC. The rooms were fully booked that weekend and they weren't able to show me a room but I have booked for the sister hotel, The St. Gregory for Labor Day weekend and will report back. I am booked for Sunday "Live Jazz Brunch" at M Street Bar and Grill in the St. Gregory Hotel. I expect it to be comparable to the Beacon Bar and Grill brunch. My rating applies only to the brunch--I'm not making any evaluation of the dinners since I haven't had dinner there.

Not Good- trust me

I'm not sure where these strong reviews are coming from. This place is a hotel bar that serves very mediocre food. The steak was decent, but the pasta ($16.00) was bad even for Sbarro. The service is awful and you never forget that you're eating in a bar.
