This was without a doubt the worst in the DC area!
My girlfriend and I went to this place after I was craving some decent pizza in the Washington area on Sunday evening 7-6-2008. Unfortunately our dining experience was well below less than par. To start my girlfriend had asked for a glass of water with lemon in it - and the server said no - being a smart ass, all throughout dining at Bertucci's this arrogant girl was no where close to server material. It would've been different had she known either of us and it was a bar setting and was joking around, we have never been more disgusted with any other area restaurant.
Not reccomended.
I had ordered a large Pucillio pizza - none of the toppings were cooked all the way through. The bottom of the pie crust was covered in black ash from the oven being filthy! I do not reccomend the Pucillo pizza pie, nor the restaurant for that matter.
However the appetizer we shared which was The Three Cheese Foccia with Marinaria Sauce and Parm cheese was delicious
Best Italian in DC
After a long day of sightseeing with family, we stumbled into Bertucci's quite by accident. We were actually across the street at Fuddrucker's and looking at the prices, I turned around to spot the Italian cuisine. My brother-in-law, from New York, loves Italian food. I said, "hey, there's an Italian place across the street where we can sit down and eat." We were out of there. It was hot and we were in tourist drag. You'd have thought that we frequented the place with the service we received. We had three children with us and not a problem. They promptly brought out drinks, dough for the kiddies, and the appetizers. The bread is awesome! The food is off the charts! Every time my brother in law came to see us, we had to go to Bertucci's. Whenever people came to visit, we'd take them there. We are always pampered. What's more, we moved away a year and half ago and recently went up because we are moving back...the foodand the service--is still phenominal. Another great feature, they opened a take out only place right next door. There eat in customers are no longer disturbed or distracted by the city dwellers take out orders. Way to go Bertucci's!!!!!!!
