Rate and Write a Review This attractive, relatively small hotel is located directly across from the Embassy of Indonesia, on Washington's famed Embassy Row. This Hilton is a pleasant departure from huge downtown hotels. In keeping with its international setting, furnishings and fabrics are rich and diverse, from animal print banquettes to batik-printed armchairs. Everything is accented with original and brightly colorful murals of neighboring properties and, in the dining room, fanciful festivals. That dining room -- the International Marketplace -- has a casual air and features a lavish buffet offering samples from all around the world. There's also a good a la carte menu. Rooms and suites are pleasantly appointed in more muted versions of the international fabric theme. You'll find all the expected amenities, with Hilton Club Level rooms offering complimentary breakfast, evening hors d'oeuvres and an honor bar. Plenty of meeting space is available, as well as parking for those attending. This Hilton specializes in "theme buffets" to intrigue your meeting guests, but if all they want is a simple breakfast, that's no problem. The Consulate Ballroom overlooks Embassy Row from unique windows and private balconies. The Lobby, which feels small and intimate, opens into an equally intimate lobby lounge. -- Tracey Meloni
