This former bank turned massive nightclub boasts of being a cross between a Playboy mansion and Martha Stewart Living. The atmosphere is indeed large and lavish, with 10,000 square feet spread across five separate levels, each with a dance floor and a full bar. On most nights you'll find a diverse crowd in a perpetual switch between posing and dancing. There's plenty of room for both. A state-of-the-art sound system and four nightly DJs keep the crowd moving with a continuous stream of house, dance, international, top 40 and hip-hop tunes. Many of the DJs are famous New York DJs who pop into town for guest appearances. Throw in spectacular happy hours and hip special events, and you have the makings for a popular DC nightspot. In addition to reduced drink prices, the weekly happy hour features a complimentary buffet. Though it probably goes without saying, appearances are what it's all about at Home. Eager patrons line up outside and wait for an "invitation" to enter. Those wearing anything other than the sleekest styles will wait indefinitely. The club brags about hosting the most prestigious personalities and local celebrities at weekly events, and the clientele is expected to keep up. Your best bet, according to the staff, is to pair your attire with an attitude.
