Cool cats tend to stay and play at the Hotel Rouge. Upon entering the lobby, you'll hear the music emanating from the bar, filled with guests imbibing various forms of martinis. It's a crowd of hipsters watching each other and the TV screens, which show nonstop video action in time to the music. Red-silk-lined hallways lead to bedrooms with minibars, flat-screen TVs and red "pleather" headboards on the beds. Since you'll be hanging with the beautiful people, take advantage of the on-site fitness center. Located on Embassy Row, the hotel sits only five blocks from the White House and 30 miles from Dulles. -- Jason Smith

Nicely surprised
The hotel was lovely and my room, very spacious. The bar is very trendy and the free bloody mary's and cold pizza in the lobby are a nice touch. I don't consider myself a "style setter" but, everyone else staying there seemed to be.
Low cost with an expensive feel
Great place. Stayed for only $100. The place was very nicely furnished with expensive tech equiptment, nice bath products, and free high speed internet access.
