J R's Bar & Grill   

Tragic! This place gives gays a bad reputation -it's more like the smokey dive bars of desperate pre-Stonewall men than the hip upscale bar one would expect in DC (like, say, Halo or Be Bar). This dirty hole should be condemed by the city. And the men who hang out there are nothing to bring home, either! I need to take a shower just thinking about it! Eeeek!

I always have a good time at JR's, but I leave smelling like a ciggarette. The bartenders are all great and the drink prices are very reasonable.

The crowd is good-looking, drink specials a plenty! Sundays has happy hour prices all day and night, $2.00 vodka drinks, and is usually packed!!

Always way too crowded. If I wanted to watch Ally McBeal, I'd do it at home.
