From the owners of McCormick and Schmick's, Jimmy's on K enters the surf 'n' turf fray with a 50/50 split between seafood and beef. New England lobsters are flown in daily, while dry-aged steaks come directly from America's heartland, the highly acclaimed Old K.C. Branded Kansas City Custom Dry Aged Beef that's exclusive to this locale. While powerbrokers fill the almost 200-seat house, tourists drop by for dinner where a warm welcome greets everyone. Jimmy's handsome interior hints at Frank Lloyd Wright with warm earthy colors, rich mahogany and clean lines that frame panels, mirrors and glass. Black leather and glass pendant lights add a modern touch in the gently-lit dining room. Look for an array of fresh seafood, pork and beef, including sliced sirloin 'Oscar' with lobster Beurre Blanc, a rich, buttery, slightly tangy sauce.
