Smith & Wollensky's Washington DC steakhouse is a spacious, richly designed restaurant, divided into intimate dining areas inspired by turn-of-the-century interiors and a wonderful outdoor bar and patio. Many guests opt to begin their meal with a towering seafood bouquet, tiers of fresh shellfish, served with a variety of sauces. The stars of the menu offerings are the tender and flavorful USDA Prime steaks, dry-aged and butchered on site. Other main course options seafood, poultry, pork, and lamb ensure that there is something to please every appetite. Classic steakhouse side dishes make a memorable dining experience with favorites like creamed spinach, corn off the cob, and truffled macaroni and cheese featured. All guests must save room for our homemade desserts, including "Store-Bought" Cheesecake, 5 Layer Chocolate Cake and Carrot Cake. Our Great American Wine List includes an amazing variety of wines from across the US.

Always as Good as the First Time!

I've been a Smith & Wollensky fan since my NYC days, and S&W's DC location makes me reminisce of 49th & 3rd. The food is consistently fresh and outstanding, the service always best in class, and the value - in spite of the prices -always more than worth it. Smith & Wollensky's id by far the best steak and seafood joint in the District!

SERVICE BEYOND COMPARE

We walked-in with 20 people on a friday night WITHOUT RESERVATIONS. We were all seated at the same table immediatly. The food is the best in the world and the service is even better.

Our second trip was just as spectacular as the first!! We already have reservations for February and May!! The food and service were great. We are made to feel special every time we come in. Looking forward to my birthday dinner in February.

A complete disappointment. Service was slow and poor, on a slow night, quality of food was sub-par. Will not return. Never had a bad meal at Ruth's Chris, DuPont Circle
