Rate and Write a Review One of the more popular dance floors on the 17th Street Strip, Cobalt is a mini-club perched on the third floor of the same building that houses Foodbar DC and 30 Degrees Lounge. Head up a narrow flight of stairs into a darkened, smoky, blue room with a low ceiling. On the right is the bar with shirtless, drop-dead sexy bartenders. Beyond the bar is a low banquette, the only seating in the club. On the left is a decent-size dance floor and a DJ booth. Cobalt can get a little crowded later in the night on Fridays and Saturdays but that doesn't stop patrons from shuffling around to house hits on the dance floor. The club tends to draw a fresh-faced group of guys in their 20s and 30s who are there to knock back a couple of drinks, dance, and maybe get lucky.
