Rate and Write a Review Inviting even from the curb, this Adams-Morgan used bookstore, with its creaky, hardwood-floors, is a gem to the collector of 'esoteric' tomes. Despite its countless shelves of French literary giants -- in French, of course -- and tons of used fiction, it's far from snobby. With books haphazardly placed, though still perfectly organized, it's obvious that the three-story Idle Time has more books than it has room for. Stacks of books tower from floor to ceiling because they've run out of shelf space, but that just adds to its charm. If you've got some time -- and you should, after all, it's in the name -- to browse their shelves, take a seat in one of the few, but comfy chairs. If you're looking for secondhand fiction or books of the humanities, you're definitely in luck.
