Major acts ranging from the Red Hot Chili Peppers to the Moscow Circus have performed in this 10,000-seat arena. Better suited to hosting GMU's own college basketball games, this cavern of a venue offers some of the poorest acoustics in the area. The local college and suburban adolescent audience doesn't seem to mind the muddy, lo- fi "auditorium" sound, though. On the plus side, the seating arrangement does enable a decent view for spectators from just about every seat. Note: Patrons attending events at the Patriot Center will no longer be permitted to bring the following items into the arena: packages, luggage, backpacks and briefcases. Signs will be posted at all entries of the building detailing the new policies and procedures.
