Great food, great service B9 hit the spot. Chef Harr is now at the helm. We had asked what happened to the older chef, I guess there was an ice age. We had been away so long we didn't realize the change of gaurd. Better for us, the meal was unbelievably great much more so than in the past. My most memorable birthday celebration was spent at Spezie!! I have had many fabulous meals at top notch restaurants, but the exquisite food and service that I received last night at Spezie was the best I have ever had. The choices were excellent, the platting was tremendous, and the ambience makes this a must for any Washingtonian and DC visitor who wants to truly embrace amazing food. I highly recommend the venison because it was cooked to perfection and you must complete your dining experience with the amazing apple strudel. I can not say enough great things about Spezie! I indeed love this litte bar. It was one of the first places I started going to after I arrived in Washington a few years back. The Happy Hours are great and they maintain a nice selection of draft beers that actually go on special without any extras needed to be purchased to get them. The best service is at the bars the servers in the other areas can be a little slow but all over all a great place to sit down and play "Cheers" for a while.  More Reviews
