Worst Dinner Ever
By brineymk on 04/01/2007
We stopped in after browsing Old Town and glancing at Bistro Europa's menu. The menu sounds good, if only the chef could actually cook as well as he can write. The calamari was chewy, served in what appeared to be a straight out of a can sauce. The sea bass's orange sauce was overwhelming, my girlfriend couldn't even finish the entire meal it was so bad. My fish was the blandest taste I think I've ever had. Over powered by walnuts and lacking any favorable sauce I might as well have eaten the dinner napkin. The bottle of wine was perhaps the best part of the evening. To add insult in injury, we paid over $100 for this absolutely disgusting meal. In hindsight we should have stayed home and cooked ourselves.

Excellent Food
By jimx2indc on 11/22/2004
It is always intersting reading reviews, because they tend to either really good or really bad. My experiance was very good at Bistro Europa. The food was wonderful. The sauce on my pasta dish was made with great care and attention to detail. The desserts, the wine all very good. Service was good, not excellent. It started off exceptional, but as the place got buiser, it became "a little" slow. Overall well worth the expense.

Great European Cuisine
By gregbaldwin123 on 04/15/2004
I've frequented Bistro for the past two years and always find it a very enjoyable experience. Chef Klaus Keckeisen is superb with his dishes from various European countries. The live music in the dining room adds to the ambience and the bar upstairs is excellent for a Spaten lager on tap.

abused
By thorn8405 on 02/08/2004
New Years Eve... upstairs for a cocktail and music. My husband was verbally abused by one of the establishments "regulars". Not a friendly place.
