As the sun dips below the spires of Georgetown University, Sequoia and its stunning views of the Potomac come to sparkling life. Featuring an extensive contemporary American menu and a large variety of specialty drinks, Sequoia plays host to Washington?s most notable citizens. During the warmer seasons the restaurant?s expansive patio dining and riverfront bar become the place to be.

Not all its supposed to be
By afroxy7 on 07/30/2007
I was recommended to go to Sequoia by numerous people, so without question, I made a reservation for my cousin his girlfriend, there two friends, and my friend for dinner on a friday night. The salads were mediocre, and served all at different times. Everything took forever to be served, including the drinks. I ordered the crab cakes, and I asked the waiter if they were jumbo lump and he assured me that they were. The crabmeat was shredded and cold, and my asapargus were hard as a rock! The salmon was okay, but overall everyone was disappointed by the food and service. The view is great, but c'mon, for that price you could enjoy somewhere else with much better food!

Excellent Restaurant

We just back from eating at Sequoia's and we have eaten at a lot of Fine Restaurants and I would have to put Sequoia's on the very top of the list. The food was wonderful, the service was wonderful and I gave it a good 5 stars. We almost didn't go because we read the reviews on here but another waiter at another restaurant told us to go we wouldn't be disapointed in it. He said he had been at least 5-6 times and each time it was very good. So I don't know what restaurant these other people were reviewing. But go to Sequoia's and enjoy. It was worth it!!!!

Getting a bad rap
By nenev1007 on 06/20/2007
Sequoia really gets beat up unfairly. I went there with friends and had a blast. Other than the wait - the placed was packed - it was a good time. The food was way better than any of the restaurants down there and the server took great care of us. Despite the crowd - we never felt rushed and had a perfect night. Great wine list, too!

Good Auto center

So far we have used them three or four times for inspections and oil changes. They are honest and do not try to rip you off with uneeded repairs. They are also friendly and will hold your car for the day if you are taking the train somewhere.
