As the sun dips below the spires of Georgetown University, Sequoia and its stunning views of the Potomac come to sparkling life. Featuring an extensive contemporary American menu and a large variety of specialty drinks, Sequoia plays host to Washington?s most notable citizens. During the warmer seasons the restaurant?s expansive patio dining and riverfront bar become the place to be.

Poor service!
By dcwest6d on 02/11/2007
Ate their on 2/3/07 with guests. One guest was served old fashioned without bitters and I was served a martini since they has no lime juice for gimlet. Could have refused drinks, but we had waited 20 minutes for the drinks to arrive. One salad arrived and 15 minutes latter the other 3, after we asked the server. Entrees arrived 20 minutes after we finished salads! The server just seemed to vanish. Food was okay, but I expected better at those prices. It's a beautiful place, but we were overall disappointed.

Decent Shrimp Salad Sandwiches
By mrvisa on 02/08/2007
Went there last year, sat outside on a warm sunny late April lunch hour, and had a great Shrimp Salad Sandwich. Expensive, of course, but a good time and a good view!

Dont even bother.
By latin99 on 11/10/2006
Our service was horrible. Our food was horrible. I read the reviews before I went, but we decided to go anyways. Let's just say BELIEVE the reviews. Our service was sooooo slow, we counted only 6 other tables besides us dining that evening. Our waiter was RUDE. We never got half the stuff we asked for. This may be DC's place to see and be seen, but definatly eat somewhere else before going.
