Ernie's Esquire Supper Club   

Visited Wheling during the Labor day weekend and had the pleasure of dining at Ernie's. Had a wonderful time. The steak and veal dish that we chose were both excellent. Server was attentive and helpful. After dinner we visited the lounge for dancing and a drink. Great place. We will recommend to out friends

I HAVE BEEN TO THIS ESTABLISHMENT ON MANY OCCASIONS AND I HAVE A FEW THINGS TO MENTION. YES THE FOOD IS AVERAGE. THE GENERAL MANAGER AND ERNIE HIMSELF TREAT HIS STAFF WITH NO RESPECT AND ARE INHUMANE WITH THEM. I HAVE WATCHED HIS WAIT STAFF WORK TO THIER FULLEST POTENTIAL AND STILL RECEIVE NO CREDIT. SO I WOULD RECCOMEND THAT PEOPLE DO EAT THERE ONLY TO HELP THIS POOR, DEPRIVED WAIT STAFF( NOT THAT THEY WILL GET CREDIT WHERE CREDIT IS DUE). BUT THEY DESERVE CREDIT FROM SOMEBODY, LET THAT SOMEBODY BE YOU. FOR $2.20/HR. THEY ARE WELL DESERVED "SLAVES"!

My husband and I dined at Ernie's and waited almost 2 hours after we ordered our meals. After complaining to the manager (she was rude) she curtly said they would pay for our drinks and appetizer. About 5 minutes later Ernie himself appeared at our table and made a spectacle of himself yelling we weren't leaving until we paid for everything - forget what the manager said. The bill was $90 and we paid for every bit of it and haven't been back since. Terrible service from the waitstaff to the managment to the owner.
