Tommy's Restaurant & Lounge   

Loved it, a bit pricey but worth it, try the prime rib sandwich! And appetizers are 1/2 price from 5-7 weekdays in the lounge... Nice mix by the DJ. Slightly older upscale crowd but had a great time!

As a family who eats out 3 to 4 nights a week in the Wichita Area, we had never eaten at Tommy's. As you can imagine we have spent literally thousands on dining out over the past 5 years. We decided for the first time to give Tommy's a try. We had heard that they have good steaks, etc. The weather was rather hot that day, so we all dressed very casual. There is no mention of any dress code on the doors, but as we were waiting for a table, of which the hostess told us would probably be 5 - 10 minutes at the most, I was looking at the menu that was posted in the lobby. Apparently it was one of the managers or possibly the assistant manager that came to me and insisted I was dressed inappropriately (I was wearing a Sleeveless muscle shirt and fairly new blu jeans, although it was clean and neat). She insisted that I wear one of their T-shirts, and I emphasize T-shirt. I turned and looked at my wife and kids and told them we were leaving. I have never, in all the years that we have been eating out, been more insulted by a dining establishment. And to think that we were going to have my son's wedding rehearsal dinner there. We are so glad that we didn't. My family and I will ***NEVER*** patronize Tommy's, EVER!!! And I will spread the word and tell everyone I know what happened to us!!
